If you telephone or email us we hold the contact details and job information you give us during that conversation. If we survey your property we record notes, measurements and photographs of the work areas so we can prepare an accurate estimate and carry out the work. We do not ask for payment card details through this website and we do not knowingly collect information from children. ## Why we use it, and our lawful basis We use your information to respond to your enquiry, arrange a survey, prepare and send your written estimate, carry out and invoice for agreed work, and deal with any follow-up or guarantee matters afterwards. The lawful basis for this is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, once work is agreed, the performance of our contract with you. We keep records of quotations, invoices and completed work where we are required to do so for tax, accounting and insurance purposes. The lawful basis for that is compliance with our legal obligations. We will only send you marketing messages if you have asked us to, and you can tell us to stop at any time. ## Who we share it with We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We share it only where it is necessary to do the work or run the business: for example with our accountant, our insurers, and suppliers or specialist subcontractors involved in your specific job. Where a supplier processes information on our behalf, they may only use it for that purpose. We may disclose information where we are legally required to, for example to HMRC or in response to a lawful request from an authority. ## How long we keep it Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to two years so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us, then deleted. Records relating to completed work, quotations and invoices are kept for at least six years to meet accounting and legal requirements, and longer where a guarantee period on the work extends beyond that. ## Your rights Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it where we no longer need it, object to our use of it, or ask us to restrict how we use it.
